Pleased to meet you… In 1953, the Thorogood family moved to New Moor Farm with the ambition to grow fresh vegetables to support their wholesale business in Covent Garden Market. Over 70 years, and 3 generations later, they’re still there, growing and supplying asparagus to top London restaurants and markets from their 700-acre farm.
New Moor Farmhouse has been home to three generations of the Thorogood family, most recently Mark and Abi, along with their 2 children, 3 dogs, guinea pigs, chickens, peacocks, goats and a roaming Shetland pony. Having hosted many family celebrations over the years, Mark and Abi decided to open up their home and gardens for other families to enjoy and make lasting memories.

We’re all about the good times The property, spread over three floors, can accommodate up to 14 guests in comfort and style. Each of the seven double bedrooms is uniquely designed to ensure a restful stay, while the stylish bathrooms, including 2 En-suites, add a touch of luxury. Spacious living areas with log-burning stoves provide a cosy setting for relaxing evenings, and the farmhouse is thoughtfully equipped with entertainment options such as smart TVs, a karaoke machine, bose speakers, a piano, and a collection of board games for everyone to enjoy.
Outdoor enthusiasts will love exploring the four acres of tranquil gardens, which are ideal for outdoor games, strolls, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The patio area, featuring a gas BBQ, dining table, comfortable seating, heaters, and parasols, is perfect for alfresco dining and gatherings, whatever the weather.
The Hot Tub House consists of a 6-person Hot Tub plus a sofa area meaning that guests can enjoy the benefits of the garden all year round. The addition of bi-folding doors, heaters, speaker and drinks fridge makes for a perfect chill-out area for guests whatever the weather.
For our younger guests there is a barked designated play area which can be enjoyed all year round.
The designated Farm walk is open all year round and offers a great escape for anyone who enjoys a stroll, run or dog walk.
